How time flies!

It is the half of my senior year already. When did that happen? The only thing I know is that the time is unconsciously running. I vividly remember the day I just began to the university. I was so excited and hopeful that I didn’t even think this experience would end someday. I can’t define exactly how it is like to be a 4th year student at university but I can say that it makes you neither relax nor restless. It’s like staying in the middle of two opposites. You both want to graduate and live your student life that you’re accustomed to seventeen years. Which one? I think I am closer to the graduation side.
In ELT department, I have always waited for a year that would not bother us with lots of homework, projects and staff and I expected 4th year to be like this but I have completely mistaken. On the contrary there is too much loan to carry this year. You have to write a thesis, you have to delve into the other projects; you have to do your pre-service job, study for the KPSS exam, and the most tiring one is to think how to manage all these. Sometimes I feel exhausted but the situation is not always so frightening. There are good sides of being a senior in a university. You have gathered a huge experience and knowledge so far. You have made new friends, mastered your subject, you tried a lot and it is time to pick the fruits of what you have did in these 4 and a half years. You are going to have your own profession, earn your own money, live your own life and be the only person that is responsible of your life. By the way, to deal with all the graduation ball preparations and think about it is one of the factors that make the 4th year a bit innocent.
Of course it’s a bit sad to be apart from your friends, your lecturers, your school but this is the nature of life. Something ends and something begins. I feel ready to take a step for the new beginnings. I think the 4th year is going to be good...can't wait to let you be a part of it!
